Salvatore “Sam” Ribaudo, 92, of Pittston, died early Saturday morning, May 14th, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore.
Born in Pittston, son of the late Leonardo and Mary Barilla Ribaudo, he was educated in the Pittston School District. Sam retired from Techinglass in 1995.
He loved casinos, horse racing and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bragging about his homegrown tomatoes was his passion.
His wife, Margaret Ribaudo died in 2010 after more than 47 years of marriage.
Surviving are his son, Salvatore M. Ribaudo Jr., and wife Robin, Scranton; daughter-in-law Michelle Ribaudo, Duryea; step-grandchildren, Phillip Chromey and Jessica Margitish and their families; sister Caroline Golomb, Bethlehem; and brother Joseph and wife, Margaret Ribaudo, Las Vegas; and nieces and nephews.
He was also predeceased by his son, Paul; infant daughter, Mary Jo; grandson, Salvatore; brother, Leo and sisters Betty and Nancy.
Interment will follow at St. Rocco's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Pittston Township.
